Developers or business process experts can easily build bots with the low-code/no-code approach, that augment human tasks and automate processes to save time, costs and reduce human errors in business operations.

Now speaking about on-premise tools need to build and run automation project, there are 2 main on-premise components of SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation.

SAP iRPA Desktop Studio
SAP iRPA Desktop StudioIt is a software component that is to be install on a developer’s workstation. Desktop Studio is used to create applications and develop automation scripts to control the automation execution. Desktop Studio requires Desktop Agent and a connection to Cloud Factory in order to work properly.

SAP iRPA Desktop Agent
This software component that is to be install on a user’s workstation. It runs the applications by replicating the user actions. Desktop Agent performs the task using set of scripts which are created using Desktop Studio and deployed to SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Foundry.

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation 2.0 Installation Guide
SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation 2.0 Installation GuideLets see the steps to install SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation both Desktop Studio and Desktop Agent.
- Download the components from SAP download center.
Go to SAP Software Downloads, to download the on-premise components of SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation. You need S-User Id and necessary permission to download the software.

- Launch the windows installer

- Setup Wizard
Follow the SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation setup wizard, to install the components.

- Choose the components
Select both Desktop Agent and Desktop Studio components and click on Next.

- Installation Folder
Choose the installation folder or leave it to default location. Click Next.

- Ready to Install
To confirm the installation click on Install.

It may take couple of minutes to complete the installation.

After installation is completed, click on Finish to complete setup.

- Launch the Desktop Studio
